Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the release of its MSQ Plus, the latest version of its high-speed single quadrupole LC/MS detection system. The MSQ Plus has been enhanced to feature fully-automated system security, secure data integrity, built-in audit trails and electronic signatures and signoffs, enabling 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
Additionally, the MSQ Plus can be seamlessly integrated with the new Thermo Scientific High Speed LC system, Accela, enabling both conventional and high speed LC (liquid chromatography) separations with an MS (mass spectrometry) detector, providing a complete and efficient analytical solution. It utilizes Thermo Scientific's Xcalibur software platform which works in conjunction with Microsoft Windows XP to set and control permissions for access, provide electronic signatures, signoffs of results. Date and time-stamped audit trails ensure that all data and changes to the instrument are methodically stored in the secure environment.
This highly sensitive instrument features a compact design and fast data collection scan rates of up to 12,000 amu per second, making it ideal for high-speed chromatography, ensuring ample data sampling rates of components from fast LC or U-HPLC systems to sensitively collect, characterize, and quantitate these data.
